Africa cellular towers

P Design was the sole consulting design engineer for Africa Cellular Towers (ACT) for 10 years since 2003. ACT was a JSE Stock Exchange AltX listed company from 2006 to 2012. P Design designed all transmission towers used by ACT according to International and local design codes consisting of the following:

• Three leg lattice towers up to 70m
• Four leg lattice towers up to 120m
• Monopole towers
• Cable stay towers
• Tower pad-, raft- and piled foundations
• Rapid deployment towers
• Billboard towers
• Rooftop towers

Installation countries included South Africa, Angola, Nigeria, Sudan, Ghana, Barkino Faso, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Tanzania, Malawi, Niger, Chad, Mauritius, Madagascar and Saudi Arabia.

Tower Audits - Tanzania and the DRC

P Design was appointed by QTE Installations and Amanzi Telecom to do structural design audits on existing transmission towers from various tower suppliers in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Tanzania.
